At one time there were quite a few galleries on Ray St. giving birth to Ray at Night... ah well. I had fun with Hank doing my blurry picture thing. He played assistant and sold his work on the side. He latter ran a pop-up gallery on Ray at Night.

I volunteered with SDAI and was drawn into Ray at Night via SDAD.  During the monthly Ray at Night there were musicians, the alley filled with people, was full of shops that were art related, and the event extended up university and down 30th with various businesses joining in.  I poured wine as a volunteer and eventually I  became one of the street artists.  The monthly event feel apart  because of internal squabbles, crowds drinking but not spending, along with rising rents.  Still, it was glorious and well attended for a while.    Below are a few of the participants.  I forget the name of my replacement wine pourer and the artist selling on the sidewalk...  Brenda Xiu on guitar, and Billy Martinez painting,
