So I created this newsletter for those people interested in my non-nude, public, and non-sexual stuff only. You know, mostly family and certain friends... I now also use it for all my ‘hey everybody’ type announcements.

Good Morning and a thoughtful Memorial Day.
I have been going back to the artcards. I have a slew of underprints or editions that I weathered on the fence at the Desert Dairy. I often forget peoples names, faces, where my keys are, what my process is... Suddenly I had done 3 photo-shoots and I wanted to process them. I belatedly rememberd part of processing was creating artcard editions of the ones I thought most promising. I looked at the pile of artcards I still had not gotten to, felt despair...

In addition, recently I have been working on some larger pieces skipping steps in my 'process.' While this can lead to new discoveries, mostly it leads to terrible pieces. Sort of like me as disciplined artist versus me and finger paints...

I decided I would go back and finish the underprints I had accumulated using the process I have developed over the past few years before going any further with my latest 3 shoots. This also meant I have to figure a way to publish artcards in case someone wished to give them a new home.

Here is are the ones finished for 5-25-2025 minus a couple where the person's butt was insufficiently covered. After that is 'my process' followed by a link on site where you can go and see some of what's available in the artcard format. May trade one of these at SDMA Art Guilds art swap.

Process as of 5-20-2025

1. Do a Photo shoots or Revisit my previous shoots.  Adjust in Lightroom, it is better to go lighter, try and capture as much detail as possible.  Refrain from theatrics.
2.  Mount print on primed and prepped (sides painted, wired for hanging, etc.). Artcards do not need mounting (but can be).
3.  Indent with burnisher tool major lines and details that should be visible at the end to explore the piece.
4.  Scribble with similar colors using Micron or Posca Pens in the body of the image.  Switch to contrasting colors.  Use this time to figure out areas of color and find details I missed earlier.
5.  Ink wash to contrast the line work and accent colors.
6.  Paint to give texture and build solid areas of color that bleeds into washes, covers or contains earlier line work.
7.  Is it done?  If not, save it.  Simplify the work by painting over cluttered parts.  Collage back original image where it has been degraded…
8.  When satisfied, edge the piece in Paynes gray, title, sign, date, and varnish (Artcards are not necessarily edged).

Normally an extended period of meticulous work is followed by wild gestures, splattering, slashing and sanding.  After that, the work is finished except for a few bits of clean up and clarifying mark making.

This is where I post to sell the cards, each card has a link back to the batch it was created in. Often these include NSFW images. Tell me if you would like to see that sort of work and I can comp you... or just become a paying patron. I appreciate both your interest and I also need the funds. It is a no lose situation for me. You must be 18+:
