Peeled - museo de rbcdart
Peeling is where I take the surface off a piece in part or whole. Often it is a finished piece. I do this because the paper left behind is wonderful to work on. The first couple times I did abstracts relishing the action between paint, pens, and Paper.

This is a peeled piece. The original was also a portrait of Mr. Miyazaki. The piece peeled off unevenly, sometimes down to the wood. Sometimes leaving paper. Black lines penetrated through.
I loved the peeled under work and decided to leave the portrait intact if very simplified.
Peeled Piece, 8x10, Acrylic, Pastel, Liquitex gloss Varnish.
