Jeff Brosbe was responsible for the monthly photography session. Gallery lighting, a 3 hour photo shoot, and very talented models made this an exciting and productive event for photographers. A signed model release was included in the $20 dollar charge to participate. The models had control and were encouraged (begged) to do what they wanted, types of costumes (or lack), poses, etc. The floor space at SDAI provided enough space to also have a life drawing session going on next to the shoot. SDAI also had a wonderful overhead balcony to shoot down on the model from above, not to mention movable walls, the orange wall, and all sorts of podiums. Links above lead to selected photos from each shoot, some nudity (patronage required). A few of Richard's photos are below for a quick peek into the shoots. Latter on in the series Yen P Miao offered Jeff and Richard a new home at the now closed San Diego Photo District. The set-up was amazing. Deeply appreciate Yen stepping forward and taking on the financial risk for as long as he did. Yen has also done some wonderful watercolors in his own figurative painting art practice
Jeff has passed on but you can learn more about him at https://sdmaag.org/In-Memoriam-Jeffrey-R-Brosbe among other places.
