Studio Burlesque with a Change Tree and an egret

'Change Tree (make or take)' at Pride 2022
Maria and I developed the idea, gave it a try in Hillcrest and then put it up at Art of Pride 2022. People wrote notes, took pennys, and then posted on the tree. Money (and notes) flowed on and off the tree for two days leaving about $25 extra.

Did more on the Studio Burlesque series and started on some non-figurative pieces. The links all lead to individual pages with the piece on them. Very enjoyable series to work on. This bulletin falls between two shows, Hillcrest Walk in Art and SD Art of Pride.

This one reached the point of no return. I peeled the underprint and all the work done on top leaving a wonderful damaged paper surface to work on.

First things first, Richard has been accepted into Art of Pride in San Diego. He will have a booth, July 16th and 17th inside the festival area at Balboa Park (admission tickets to festival). Maria and Richard are talking about an interactive 'Change' tree using real pocket change.
